Next generation high tech sword hatchet

The ISZ 525M2 Kennata is a versatile large full-tang knife that aims to be easier to handle than conventional sword hatchets and incomparably more robust.

It is a high-tech sword hatchet that sandwiches high-performance materials between high-performance steel that boasts the highest strength in order to achieve further toughness while reducing overall weight.

Blade

Blade steel is Z-Tuff. As of 2023, it boasts the strongest strength as a steel used for cutlery. In fact, there are steels with toughness exceeding Z-Tuff, but the steel with the highest class of toughness, high hardness and deformation strength is Z-Tuff. It is the ideal steel material for full-tang knives.

The 525M2, which consists of two types of multi-type blades, is flat in front of the blade grind from the handle and convex beyond that. The front is suitable for fine shavings such as feather sticks, and the tip is a sturdy convex blade that can withstand hard use.

The 10 holes drilled in the blade serve as lightening cutouts that balance the overall weight.

The coating of the blade is a wear-resistant coating with a high elastic modulus for the purpose of rust prevention. It also supports gasoline resistance and impact resistance. This coating is therefore very tough and very difficult to remove.

The red line near the tip is a warning color and is a line to increase the tension when using the knife.

*If this line is not needed, it can be removed with a solvent such as thinner.

Handle

When working with knives of this size for a long time, if the grip is fixed, fatigue will accumulate in the fixed hand, making it difficult to continue working. Therefore, in order to make it easier to grip the handle smoothly, the handle is straight on the finger side and shaped like a mountain on the back.

The handle material is Ultrex™ SureTouch. This handle is a high-performance handle material that combines high durability and high grip by laminating Ultrex G10 and weather resistant rubber.

The hole in the handle is for weight reduction and ventilation of the hand holding the handle.

Weight balance

Since it is a long and large knife, we have made it as light as possible, but it still weighs 500g.

However, when compared to conventional Japanese-style sword hatchets of the same size, 525M2 has a full tang, but weighs almost the same as a Japanese-style sword hatchet of the same size.

Furthermore, the weight distribution is 5.5:4.5, which is a very well-balanced distribution.

525M2, a large full-tang knife, is made of Z-Tuff steel, which boasts the highest toughness.

The center of the knife, where the load of the knife is most applied, is reinforced with dry carbon or a layered hilt of dry carbon and titanium between the blade and the handle to increase strength, which can be called excessive.

Sheath

The sheath is equipped with the world's first biometric authentication electronic locking mechanism. It becomes a sheath and by registering the user's fingerprint, it can only be unlocked by the person himself.

The ISZ 525M2 is a large knife, and the safety system is also excessive to limit the use of non-users and prevent accidents.

The biometric authentication unit is waterproof and dustproof, and can be charged for 3 hours using a MicroUSB type B cable.

It can be used about 900 to 1000 times after charging.

It can also be used as a touch button without fingerprint authentication.

An electronic physical key for unlocking is also included, which is used when the fingerprint is scratched and cannot be opened after setting the fingerprint authentication.
